Home at last
Its great to be home especially being greeted by good waves. I thought it would be a few weeks before any real swells would arrive but 1st September the waves arrived with full force of any winter swells of that size. I had been surfing Teahupoo for the past month but I swear the waves in County Clare are far heavier. I had few waves but it was real shallow and hard on the surfboard so I had a go on the boog which was mad fun.

Trials Tahiti
Hi guys, sorry for the late update I have been real busy last few weeks.
I am on my way home now after three months on the road.
So I made it into the trials, What a great experience it was trying to mix it up with the worlds best heavy wave surfers. I made two rounds which was nothing too amazing but it felt good to be out there giving it a go.
I feel very privileged to be out there representing Ireland everyone was spinning out seeing an Irishman in the event. I cant wait to go back again next year and improve on my result and try and push Irish surfing to a new place.

Tahiti
So I made it to Tahiti! Very glad I went for it now. I am staying with a legend of a guy "Simon" and we had waves nine days straight from when I first arrived. Nothing massive one 6-8ft day and the rest just a nice 4-6ft.
Now it has gone completely flat and its the first time since I started traveling over two months ago, feels weird but nice just to chill.
I will try and get more photos up, here is one from one of the days..

Thanks for the machines
I would like to say a quick thanks to Relentless and Yamaha. Relentless for loaning us one of there Land Rover Defenders. It was our main mode of transport throughout the winter and it proved invaluable again, especially with the winter we had in Ireland (snow and a lot of ice for over two months). Also I have to say a huge thanks to Yamaha for hooking us up with a beast of a jet ski (FX HO) It was our work horse in the salt this year and did us proud. Thanks guys, hopefully we can put the machines through there paces again next winter.

Lives of the Artists II
Relentless have just released their latest film, 'Lives Of The Artists: Follow Me Down' - check out the trailer and what they have to say about it
https://www.relentlessenergy.com/films/view/lives-of-the-artists-follow-me-down-trailer
Lives Of The Artists: Follow Me Down is the latest cinematic adventure and highly anticipated edition of the groundbreaking film series by Relentless Energy Drink.
Featuring James Lavelle and UNKLE, as well as legendary freeriders Jeremy Jones and Xavier de Le Rue (star of the first film), Lives Of The Artists: Follow Me Down explores a theme that anyone driven by some immeasurable passion will recognise - that there are no easy rides in life.
Relentless travel to Antarctica with their two riders, spurning the usual 'heli-drop and ride', big mountain approach in search of more visceral rewards, the kind that Jeremy and Xavier seek by scaling each near-vertical face on foot. Interwoven with this, Relentless join UNKLE on tour in Tokyo, Moscow, St. Petersburg and London, immersing themselves along the way in the uncompromising sounds and beliefs of a pioneering musical outfit that has strived to push the boundaries of artistic expression while retaining total integrity for close to 20 years.
UNKLE will also be creating a soundtrack for Lives Of The Artists: Follow Me Down, influenced by the cinematic backdrop of the film. An exclusive teaser track will be available for members of The Order (Relentless' online community) to download for free at www.relentlessenergy.com from 16 August 2010. The remaining tracks will be available at launch of the full film in early September 2010.

Transworlds movie HIGH FIVE
Check out this trailer for a new movie Transworld Surf mag have brought out.
http://surf.transworld.net/1000109749/videos/the-official-high-five-trailer/
They asked me to be apart of it at the start of the year, so I have been filming with Willy and Mickey and they made it happen big. Thanks boys.
I have not even seen the finished vid yet but I am just buzzin to be asked to be in it, its really cool of those guys to recognize what we have been up to in cold old Ireland. So big thanks to Chris Cote and the guys at Transworld.

Desert times
We have made it out from the desert I could very easily get lost in time out there.
It was my fourth trip up there and it still blows me away every time, I love it.
It is one of the most challenging heavy paddle waves I have surfed.
We had three very different swells in ten days. Here is a few shots from our stint.
Big thanks to Scott Bauer for all his help and Yasha and Jamie for letting me use there photos. Also a shout to all the other guys we hung out with in the desert, cheers boys for the good times...

Week one in WA
Its been a busy first week in West Oz.
We have had everything from onshore wedges to big glassy bombie sessions.
Its really good being back in chunky winter swells, although I find it hard to get my head round that this is winter time, its 20 degrees in the water and similar air temp.
Looking forward to the months ahead to see what the swells bring.
